Young Life

Parishes in the Archdiocese of Portland have a tremendous opportunity to reach every teen with the Gospel. Through a shared passion for Christ, kids, and mission, our collaboration with Catholic Young Life  has yielded a rising tide of cooperation that leads more teens toward a personal encounter with Christ by:

• Training Young Life staff and volunteers to minister to Catholic teens in ways that respect and renew their Catholic faith in Jesus
• Encouraging and equipping Catholics to serve as Young Life staff & volunteer leaders
• Working with parishes, schools, and universities to invigorate the faith of young Catholics

Archbishop Sample has endorsed a relationship with Young Life by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to build a bridge between the Catholic Church and Young Life.
