The CCHD national collection date is the Sunday before Thanksgiving, but some dioceses hold their collection on a different date to avoid conflict with local activities and needs. Check your local diocese for the CCHD collection date in your parish. You can find web banners and more on the collection resources page.
Catholic parishioners are the principal source of CCHD's funds. The CCHD collection is held annually on the weekend before Thanksgiving.
As Catholics, we contribute to the CCHD collection because we strongly believe all people are made in the image and likeness of God, and so all life, from conception until natural death, must be respected. To qualify for CCHD funds, applicants must not promote, in any way, activities that violate the dignity of the human person. CCHD is committed to supporting groups of low-income individuals as they work to break the cycle of poverty and improve their communities.
